When the load acts along the X-X axis, we take Iyy for the Bending moment calculations. Similarly, when load acts along the Y-Y axis, we take Ixx. But if i have a load that acts on Z-Z axis, how do I calculate the Moment of Inertia?

Hi,
This question came up on my midterm and I had no idea how to answer it without redrawing the entire curve as a stress vs. strain curve (which obviously took too long to do).
Anyway, I'm just requesting a general procedure, not a numerical answer. If you had a Load (y-axis) vs...

Next year I'm taking organic, physical, analytical chemistry, modern physics, and calc3. I guess the only way I'll know is to actually do it and see if I can handle it but I wanted to ask you guys and see if you had any thoughts about it. Plus if you've been through this some...
I don't need any help for the engineering maths I'll be doing after but if I anyone could advise me on how to write a program that would take a set of x and y values and then give me back the y values at certain intervals on the x-axis I would be very grateful. I've got colossal amounts of data...

Hi all,
I am trying to calculate by hand the maximum load that a concrete 1m x 1m x 1m block can take before failing. The load is applied uniformly across the top of the block.
