Moments (stylized MOMents) is a Filipino celebrity talk show hosted by Gladys Reyes and aired on Net 25. It is a show for mothers and kids that feature the different bonding moments, child-rearing styles and the many facets of motherhood. It airs 7pm every Saturdays with replays on Mondays to Fridays at 10 A.M and Sundays at 11:30 AM / 12:30 PM.

Ok, so for equilibrium (no moment about any point), all the lines of action must pass through a single point right? But what about a plank, balanced at its centre, with forces on both sides of the plank so the forces are in equilibrium, and there is no moments also. But what about the line of...

Hello,
in statistics, one can derive the moments of a distribution by using a generating function
<x^n> = \int dx x^n f(x) = \left( \frac {d}{dt} \int dx \exp(tx) f(x) \right)_{t=0} = \left( \frac d {dt} M(t) \right)_{t=0}
Is there a similar method to derive the multipole moments in...
Hi,
I'm trying to use moments to find the mean of a pdf.
Here is the pdf:

How do you take the moments of inertia of a flat body? I know howto take it if it's a 3d body. And the 2d case should be really simpe,but I'm too stupid to figure it out. Can you help me? For example.. Say we have a body that's a rectangle of mass m on |x| < a, |y| < b..? Thanks so much.
