The Origin of Cosmic Rays - A 96-Year-Old Puzzle Solved?
Arnon Dar
Invited talks to be published in the proceedings of the 2004 La Thuile Workshop on Perspectives In High energy Physics, La Thuile, Aosta Valley, Italy, February 29-March 6, 2004...
I know that measurements have established the following
empirical laws for the ideal gas, contained in some closed volume:
-Keeping pressure and temperature constant, the volume is proportional to the number of moles.
-The volume varies inversely with pressure.
-The pressure is...
why the Universe was at a small point? Is this point like super small like.
Plank length
Googelplex^googelplex
Or just any size smaller then Planck Length? To be undefinable.
Why couldn't the universe just all of a sudden be created right where it is, in all the same...
Like many people, I find myself trying to figure out whether it is possible that we find ourselves in existence on this planet, along with millions of other species of living organism, by utter chance - a random occurrence in a universe/multiverse that we cannot comprehend.
But I always find...
Why logic and reason fail when we try to trace back the origin of universe!
When we try to think what might have created the universe, when was it created, how, why, where etc etc, the parameters we are looking at are TIME when we say WHEN and SPACE when we say WHERE,HOW,WHAT,WHO.
Out of the ten...
I just had a thought...
If the universe supercools before particles form, then there is a potential for particles to form. But this would be in random locations. And this sounds like a quantum field. Does this sound right, quantum fields are created by supercooling of what "spacetime itself"...
1st The LAW OF CONSERVATION OF MATTER "Matter can neither be created or destroyed merely changed in form."
So if matter exists now, which it does, it has to have existed then to exist now.
Yet matter was not always in this state of being, it was matter but it didn't contain any mass because...
SImple request here, I read some years ago that a perfect circle cannot be drawn freehand?..or does not exist?
I cannot remember who said it, I believe it has some ancient meaning?
Can anyone point me in a relevant direction?..ie who said it?
Is there any theory offering an explination as to the origin of all matter? I'm not talking about the big bang, but where the matter which went bang originiated from.
And I know the one theory about 10 dimensions and all the matter going into 4 and the others collapsing, but I'm more looking...
from my understanding, the current understanding of the big bang is a small space packed with immense amounts of particles that " exploded " and in turn created the universe and everything in it.The big question, again from my understanding, is where did all of this material come from in the...
some news about the origin of gamma ray bursts, this may be
old news to some.there have been many theories for the production
of gamma rays, it seems now that the search is narrowing.

I found my self imeresed in the Charles Darwin story "Points Of Origins" and I found it very interesting. Have any of you guys ever read this book if so share it with me, I think Charles was i one of the greatest minds what do guys think?
to start, i agree with the BB theory as a "result" of the begining,
the BB theory does not explain where the energy came from to cause the BB.
what is requierd is a theory that predicts where the BB energy originated.
the only part of the BB theory i do not agree with is that it created...
Is this possible? If so, must the person being tested have a significant percentage to be identified? I am unsure about one of my great-great grandparents lineage, and would like to know, since census records cannot be found. I have heard about something like this, I believe, something to do...
