Hello everyone! I need your help with the next sketch:
I need to find the angle between the red line and the horizontal ($\alpha$). I did try everything that i could imagine but even so i couldn't find it.
According to the book, the angle should be: $\alpha=20~degrees$
How can i calculate it?
Hey guys, I'm trying to wrap my head around this electronic schematics of a PLC, because I've started ladder-programming it. Can anyone explain to me why are there TWO diodes before the transistor? I get that one diode shows an "active" or "inactive" state when it's turned on or not. But why...

Hi guys,
So as title states, how would one sketch Re(iz) = 3? And an explanation would be splendid.
This is what I thought:
let z = a + bi
i(a+bi) = -b + ai
Therefore: Re(iz) = -b = 3
So Real axis = -3?
Or would it be Real axis = 3
Since iz is an arbitrary complex number and...

Sketch the following regions and state the interior and the closure:
a) |z-2+i|≤1
b) Im(z)>1
Homework Equations
z=x+iy
The Attempt at a Solution

So (x-2)2+(y+1)2≤1
So it would just be a circle on the real plane...
