I got this wrong is my quiz and i still don't get it.

Find the value of k so that equation has the solution of -8.

|x-2| = k

Thanks.

What is the value of k when x = -8?
 
Oh... i put -8 into k... that's why.

Thread 'Struggling to make relation between elastic force and height'

Hello guys this is what I tried so far. I used the UTS to calculate the force it needs when the rope tears. My idea was to make a relationship/ function that would give me the force depending on height. Yeah i couldnt find a way to solve it.
