Book recommendations for Physical Chemistry

Click For Summary
For undergraduate students seeking accessible resources in physical chemistry, "Physical Chemistry" by Castellan is recommended for its clear explanations. "Equilibrium Thermodynamics" by Adkins is also suggested, although opinions on Atkins' "Physical Chemistry" vary, with some appreciating its content while others find it less favorable. Overall, the focus is on finding books that thoroughly explain concepts such as equilibrium and kinetics.

I am an undergraduate student who wants a good, easy to understand, book for physical chemistry, specialized on topics like equilibrium, kinetics, etc. Please recommend some good books, which have the concepts explained thoroughly.

I personally enjoy reading Physical Chemistry by Atkins
Many do not like it.
I myself have never been that deep in the book.

i am self learning physics. have you ever worked your way backwards again after finishing most undergrad courses? i have textbooks for junior/senior physics courses in classical mechanics, electrodynamics, thermal physics, quantum mechanics, and mathematical methods for self learning. i have the Halliday Resnick sophomore book. working backwards, i checked out Conceptual Physics 11th edition by Hewitt and found this book very helpful. What i liked most was how stimulating the pictures...
