AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on locating bookmarks on the mobile version of a website, specifically physicsforums.com. The user initially struggles to find the bookmarks feature, which is easily accessible on the desktop version under User -> Bookmarks. It is clarified that on Android devices, the bookmarks can be found by tapping the three dots in the top right corner, but the user is specifically asking about website-specific bookmarks. The solution is revealed that the bookmarks are indeed accessible under User -> Bookmarks, but the user button is not visible in portrait mode, leading to confusion. The suggestion is made that developers should enhance the mobile interface by adding the "user" submenu to the top left menu for easier access, as most users browse in portrait mode.

Hi,
I can't find where my bookmarks are using the mobile version of the website.

On the Desktop version it's under User -> Bookmarks.

Is there a button I'm missing to access my Bookmarks?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your fast reply!

Yes on Android but that shouldn't matter what OS I'm on since I meant the mobile version of the website. That design will be the same on all browsers that request the mobile version.

You described where my browser bookmarks are stored but I meant the website specific bookmark function of physicsforums.com :D

On here you can bookmark posts by pressing on the bookmark button on the blue bar that each post has. My question is where do I access those bookmarked posts on the mobile version of the website 😅

Do you know what I mean?

It's in user -> bookmarks. Unfortunately, if you're in portrait mode the user button is invisible. It's just to the left of the conversation envelope icon and it works - it's just not visible. Or you can switch to landscape mode.

Thanks! Yes I was in portrait mode all the time so I didn't see it.

Btw would be good if the devs add that "user" submenu to the menu accessible in the top left of the mobile website version. It contains all sorts of other different submenus. Usually people don't browse in landscape mode on their phones.

Thread 'In the early days of electricity, they didn't have wall plugs'
Hello scientists, engineers, etc. I have not had any questions for you recently, so have not participated here. I was scanning some material and ran across these 2 ads. I had posted them at another forum, and I thought you may be interested in them as well. History is fascinating stuff! Some houses may have had plugs, but many homes just screwed the appliance into the light socket overhead. Does anyone know when electric wall plugs were in widespread use? 1906 ad DDTJRAC Even big...
