How did you find PF?
Google Search
Möbius strip

A guy posted this in one thread.

Can this idea really work provided the given dimensions ?( 6 with 1 as time I believe ).
Can you also describe the calculations of that scale, I'm just a newbie to this.

Regards,
Freaky Physicist.

Hi @Freaky Physicist that thread you referenced was a holdover from years ago circa 2003. It is a crackpot notion that has no science to support it and was likely thought of after reading a pop science article on either String theory or Möbius strips or both.

It’s reminiscent of an earlier idea of relating mathematical knots to atoms invented by Lord Kelvin that was debunked when Rutherford discovered the true structure of the atom.

We all think at one time or another that through pure thought we can discover by analogy some new scientific insight into the real world. Sadly though it never happens that way. Instead we need some measurable data/facts that point the way.

The best example being no difference in the speed of light in any measurable direction became an axiom of Relativity theory.

Hi everyone, I'm just a physics enthusiast. I took some first-year courses a long time ago, but I wasn't able to continue, so I don't have a degree. Still, I'm really passionate about the subject and try to keep up with it as much as I can. I mostly study in my (limited) free time, going through books I didn’t get the chance to read when I was younger. Thanks for your attention!
