Can We Regrow Fingers in the Future?

AI Thread Summary
Regrowing a fingertip, including the nail, is a topic of interest, particularly regarding the capabilities of very young children who can regenerate slightly more than adults. Current scientific consensus suggests that while stem cell research holds potential for limb and appendage regrowth in the distant future, practical applications are not yet available. The advancements needed for such regenerative techniques are still in the early stages, and it is unlikely that current generations will witness these developments.

Not as yet.

Stem cell research, of various kinds, MIGHT, in the (very) distant future, be able to come up with techniques for regrowth of lost limbs/appendages.

Neither you or I will live long enough to experience it, though..
