AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on selecting a project topic that aligns with a long-term goal in Aerospace studies, specifically Aerodynamics and Propulsion Technology. The user is considering four potential project topics related to their internship at a Power Training Institute: a Supercritical Circulating Fluidised Bed Boiler, Low Speed Auto Brake using infrared rays, Next Generation Power Plant, and Dust Suppression Technique. They seek guidance on which topic would best connect to their aspirations in Aerospace. Additionally, there is a query about writing a review paper, specifically regarding the process of summarizing a complex paper on hypersonic magnetohydrodynamic power generators and whether multiple sources should be referenced. The discussion highlights the importance of choosing a relevant project and understanding the academic writing process for effective research communication.

Can you help me choose among these??!

I'm currently doing second year mechanical engineering and would like to do MS in Aerodynamics and Propulsion technolgy (branch of Aerospace studies).
However, my college appointed me an internship at a Power Training Institute and I guess I have to make the mosr of it...
I have to make a project based on any field relating to my work here and I want to choose a topic that'd also relate to my long term goal, Aeorspace studies...

So among these, which would be related (in atleast some way) to Aerodynamics and Propulsion Engineering...

1. Supercritical Circulating Fluidised Bed Boiler.
2. Low Speed Auto brake using infrared rays.
3. Next Generation Power Plant
4. Dust Suppression Technique.

I know I sound hopeless, but any guidance will be appreciated

okay, well can someone tell me how exactly to write a review paper...I mean I found a huge pdf about how "THE EFFECTS OF SPACE CHARGE IN A HYPERSONIC
MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMIC POWER GENERATOR"...(the link is http://www.dtic.mil/cgi-bin/GetTRDoc?Location=U2&doc=GetTRDoc.pdf&AD=ADA473277)
This is supposed to be a method of auxiliary power in hypersonic vehicles...
...do i need to refer to many other sources of information? Do I just restate whatever's written in this paper in a concise way?

Bit Britain-specific but I was wondering, what's the best path to take for A-Levels out of the following (I know Y10 seems a bit early to be thinking about A-levels, but my choice will impact what I do this year/ in y11) I (almost) definitely want to do physics at University - so keep that in mind... The subjects that I'm almost definitely going to take are Maths, Further Maths and Physics, and I'm taking a fast track programme which means that I'll be taking AS computer science at the end...
After a year of thought, I decided to adjust my ratio for applying the US/EU(+UK) schools. I mostly focused on the US schools before, but things are getting complex and I found out that Europe is also a good place to study. I found some institutes that have professors with similar interests. But gaining the information is much harder than US schools (like you have to contact professors in advance etc). For your information, I have B.S. in engineering (low GPA: 3.2/4.0) in Asia - one SCI...
I'm going to make this one quick since I have little time. Background: Throughout my life I have always done good in Math. I almost always received 90%+, and received easily upwards of 95% when I took normal-level HS Math courses. When I took Grade 9 "De-Streamed" Math (All students must take "De-Streamed" in Canada), I initially had 98% until I got very sick and my mark had dropped to 95%. The Physics teachers and Math teachers talked about me as if I were some sort of genius. Then, an...
