Computer Model for a QCL laser

In summary, the document discusses the development of a computer model for a Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL). It outlines the principles of QCL operation, including the quantum mechanics involved in electron transitions and photon emission. The model aims to simulate the laser's performance characteristics, such as output power, wavelength, and efficiency, under various operating conditions. The findings indicate that the model effectively predicts the behavior of QCLs, providing valuable insights for optimizing design and improving laser performance in practical applications.

TL;DR Summary
For a personal project, I am looking for computer software, free or for a small fee, that models a QCL laser, if possible.
Hi

For a personal project, I am looking for software that models a QCL laser. It can be free or for a small fee.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

There are some openly available tools (called MonacoQC, Matlab-based) for simulating quantum cascade structures on the Github of the computational photonics group of TU Munich:

https://github.com/orgs/cph-tum/repositories

I have no idea how versatile or easy to use they are, but maybe this is a reasonable starting point. I am quite sure there are also some papers by that group that describe the model in more detail, but I do not have a link available.
