Creative destruction examples

AI Thread Summary
Creative destruction often occurs when new technologies disrupt established power structures, empowering the masses at the expense of elites. Notable examples include Napster, which revolutionized music sharing and challenged the music industry's control, and the printing press, which democratized information access and diminished the Church's authority. Television also significantly shifted power dynamics by providing widespread access to information, though its impact on information quality is debated. Overall, these technologies illustrate how innovation can undermine elite control and redistribute power among the general population.

The piece came-up from the "Lame Jokes" section of the forum. Someobody carried a step from one of the posts and I became curious and tried a brief web search. A web page gives some justification of sorts why we can use goose(s)-geese(p), but not moose(s)-meese(p). Look for the part of the page headed with "Why isn't "meese" the correct plural?" https://languagetool.org/insights/post/plural-of-moose/
