Ghost Thread: Moderation, Double Entries & Response

  • Thread starter Bystander
  • Start date
In summary, a thread was noticed as a double entry in the unanswered list, but after moderation, it was not taken care of and remained on the list. The conversation then discusses how each thread is treated as a separate entity and how mentors will often delete duplicate threads. However, in this case, the thread was not a duplicate, but instead "ghosted" following a moderation step. This issue is attributed to a possible cache issue and is only noticeable due to the summer slowdown. The conversation ends with the mention of a forgotten link.

Noticed this thread as a double entry in unanswered list, following moderation, and was curious whether a response would take care of both entries --- obviously didn't.

Each thread is a separate entity. Often mentors will delete duplicate threads posted by members who don't follow the no dups rule.

'Twarn't a duplicate it "ghosted" following the moderation step that switched it to HW.
