In summary, the speaker is in 11th grade and has not had the opportunity to take physics or calculus courses. They have been learning through independent research and are looking for someone to help them with their studies. Suggestions are made to try Khan Academy for self-paced learning and to post questions on YouTube or a forum. It is also mentioned that taking notes and developing a personal understanding of the concepts is important for mastering them.

I'm just curious if anyone would be interested in directing in my physics study or teaching me some physics. School is moving too slow for me. I'm am in the 11th grade and I have not had the option to take a single physics or calculus course. I have had to learn and take notes by scouring the internet. It is not the most efficient way to learn because sometimes I don't understand and I have questions. So I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in helping. Thanks!

Why not checkout Khan Academy where you can go at your own pace?

Have you considered something like Khan Academy?
https://www.khanacademy.org/science/physics

You can do it entirely at your own pace, which is fun because you can dive deeper into what's interesting. When you do take physics in school, having gone through some of it already will help you master the fundamentals fast so you'll have more time/energy for the really interesting pieces.

You can post questions directly in YouTube, or you could also post your questions here. It may seem inefficient, but making your own notes and developing your own framework of how the concepts tie together is actually a fantastic way to really master the concepts. Most students "get through" a course that's managed for them, but relatively few really understand what they've just learned. Taking and/or making your own notes - and above all learning how you learn - is an essential skill for university and life.

What qualifications do you have as a physics tutor/mentor?

As a scientist, I have a strong background in physics with a degree in the subject. I also have experience teaching and tutoring students of all ages in various scientific fields, including physics.

What is your approach to teaching and mentoring?

I believe in a personalized approach to teaching and mentoring. I will work with the 11th grader to identify their strengths and weaknesses in physics and tailor my teaching style to their individual needs. I also emphasize hands-on learning and problem-solving to help students develop a deeper understanding of the subject.

I can help the 11th grader improve their grades by providing additional support and resources outside of the classroom. This may include reviewing material, practicing problems, and providing tips and tricks for studying and test-taking. I can also help the student develop a better understanding of the concepts and improve their critical thinking skills.

I will work with the 11th grader to set specific goals in terms of grades or understanding of concepts, and we can regularly review and assess their progress together. I am also open to communicating with the student's teachers to get feedback on their progress in class.
