I found Physics Forum through a Google Search for information on Calculus of Variations, which I am self-studying prior to tutoring this topic.

What is the background/interest source for the person you will tutor? That can have an impact on the best way to approach the topic.
 
Hi everyone, I'm just a physics enthusiast. I took some first-year courses a long time ago, but I wasn't able to continue, so I don't have a degree. Still, I'm really passionate about the subject and try to keep up with it as much as I can.
