How did you find PF?
I was a member years ago and recently found the forum again
I started working in a cabinet shop when I was 15 after I quit school, even though I had a science Scholarship from C.W. Post, which I obtained when I was 13. Then, I went into water-cooled exhaust pipes for race boats after custom cabinets fell out of favor, I was also building homes and dormers for a living.

A race pipe customer invited me to work in his hazardous waste business, so I took him up on it. I ended up taking over the job of installing and programming the Network, computer systems, and database for the company. I then went out on my own, started a corporation, and built hazardous waste evaporation systems. Then I got divorced and went to work building railings, pipe railings, staircases, and spiral staircases, out iron, steel, and stainless steel. Then, I went to work for an HVAC company. I had gone for HVAC when I was in grade school. I installed and serviced commercial and residential systems for the company.

Then I went out on my own, and one of my customers, after seeing me work, asked me to join IBEW Local 3 and install, service, and inspect Fire Alarm systems for DCAS in the city of New York. I did that for ten years, and then after COVID, I started an HVAC corporation, and I have been installing and servicing commercial HVAC systems for owners of franchises.

Thank you I always kept busy. I also created a pipe bending program with other Cadd users at the General Cadd forum that allows you to draw a pipe to some geometric shape and then instantly get the length and start and stop marks of the bends. It allowed me to make hundreds of rails in short order. You can put the rail into the bender from either direction, and the result is rather accurate. It took a while of actual bending and testing to come up with a value smaller than pi to achieve the right length for the bend. The program takes the centerline radius of the pipe and substitutes the pseudo pi value to calculate the actual length needed, which creates the perfect bend in the right spot.
