AI Thread Summary
A cyclist accelerates uniformly from rest, achieving an average speed of 6 m/s over 10 seconds. The question seeks to determine the magnitude of the cyclist's final velocity. Participants suggest clarifying the problem by ensuring accurate translation and presenting data values clearly. There is a recommendation to use tools like Google Translate for better comprehension. The discussion emphasizes the importance of precise language and data in solving physics problems.

Hi Myvar. http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/5725/red5e5etimes5e5e45e5e25.gif

Sorry, it is mangled English. Can you try to fix it? The data values are important and they are missing.

Perhaps keep the data values away from the translator, type them in afterwards below the text as numbers with units?

Something about an average speed of 6 m/s?

If you are not sure about abbreviations, write things out in full, e.g., metres per second

I think the google translator can handle Afrikaans.

Perhaps you don't understand what is involved in the original question? So, try the google translator. http://translate.google.com/m/translate

goeie geluk!

Thread 'Voltmeter readings for this circuit with switches'
TL;DR Summary: I would like to know the voltmeter readings on the two resistors separately in the picture in the following cases , When one of the keys is closed When both of them are opened (Knowing that the battery has negligible internal resistance) My thoughts for the first case , one of them must be 12 volt while the other is 0 The second case we'll I think both voltmeter readings should be 12 volt since they are both parallel to the battery and they involve the key within what the...
Thread 'Correct statement about a reservoir with an outlet pipe'
The answer to this question is statements (ii) and (iv) are correct. (i) This is FALSE because the speed of water in the tap is greater than speed at the water surface (ii) I don't even understand this statement. What does the "seal" part have to do with water flowing out? Won't the water still flow out through the tap until the tank is empty whether the reservoir is sealed or not? (iii) In my opinion, this statement would be correct. Increasing the gravitational potential energy of the...
