Intera refers to the concept of inertia, which describes a body's tendency to remain at rest or continue in motion unless acted upon by an external force. The discussion highlights the importance of understanding this fundamental principle in physics. Participants are encouraged to explore further by conducting a Google search for more detailed information. The conversation also touches on the relevance of inertia in various contexts. Overall, the thread aims to clarify the concept of inertia and its implications.

Hi safari. Inertia is the tendency of a body at rest to remain at rest, or if in motion to maintain that state of motion.

For a treatment in more depth, try a google search. http://imageshack.us/a/img811/5412/thgooglefriend1.gif

I do not have a good working knowledge of physics yet. I tried to piece this together but after researching this, I couldn’t figure out the correct laws of physics to combine to develop a formula to answer this question. Ex. 1 - A moving object impacts a static object at a constant velocity. Ex. 2 - A moving object impacts a static object at the same velocity but is accelerating at the moment of impact. Assuming the mass of the objects is the same and the velocity at the moment of impact...
