How did you find PF?
I googled "physics forums".
I am currently teaching myself introductory physics, by reading a book called "Physics" (Serway and Jewitt, 9th edition), and other support material. I would really appreciate help when I get stuck !

Welcome to PhysicsForums, Steve. It's good to have you here.

To get help on a schoolwork-type problem (even if for self-study), start a thread in the Homework Help forums and post your best efforts to work on the problem. As long as you show good effort, you will get great tutorial help here.

Also check out the "LaTeX Guide" link at the bottom of the Edit window. It's easy to get started posting math equations that are easy to read, which helps us help you with your questions as well.

Enjoy PF!
