Meeting “The Man” had been on my bucket-list for a long time. This picture says it all.

Great photo! What a wonderful time! btw, the third day was a bit calmer. Mostly families so the parents had the kids under control lol

I noticed this with the kids that had parent/s with them. I thought it was neat that these parents expressed how much more their kid knew about physics than they did. Handed out a few cards to them so they could maybe get one-up on their kids. They were thankful.

Actually it doesn't say anything to me, except two skinny persons (young and old) are advertising liquors and physics forums T shirts.

This should help.

Dlgoff is a shameless physics proselyte, doing his proslytism wherever he sees fit.

And who is who ?

BTW, that background of the photo reminds me of the Tesla coil's master oscillator set by Tesla in Colorado Springs, A.D. 1899 :)

I hope you do. What a good leader we have. The story of his creation of PF is very inspiring to me and will be to many future PFers I'm sure. And to have a brew with him ... wow.

Keep your eyes open lisab. I'm sure he would be open to attending a big Science Festival near you.

The guy on the left is Greg, he created PF. We refer to him as Lord And Master. On the right is Don, a beloved, longtime PFer:

Really ? Ohhh this is the first time I see Greg. Many people are afraid to be seen in public. So he doesn't look like an online gamer :D.

You forget "Battlestar Captain"!

I'm not sure who posted this said:
Waging war on Crackpot tyranny, Spacemites, and Incrulouses, the last Battlestar Captain, Greg, leads a ragtag, nerdly crew, on a lonely quest—in a shining place, abbreviated as PF.

On the right is Don, a beloved, longtime PFer:

I switched religions one day, because of Don.

Thank you for clearing that up. I had no idea what the hell that picture was about. It certainly doesn't look anything like the last picture that I saw of him some 10 years or so back when I first joined here. He seems to have lost weight and partially "unnerded" himself.

No. I thought that he was young, geeky, and pudgy.

Being young and geeky is how I recognized him when arriving at the Wisconsin Science Festival. :)

I'm actually probably well over 25,000. Posts in GD, where I spend most of my time, aren't counted.

I've said "something" :olduhh: on hundreds of occasions. I have been reprimanded for it frequently. One of the ladies here just recently forgave me for a comment from almost a year ago.
It will be cool if GD posts are now counted. I know for sure that in the old format far less than 50% of my activity went into the scorebook. Evo once dug up some way of finding real total post counts in the server, but it isn't available normally.

I hope you didn't take it that I was serious, I have been seeing you from 2006 until now :D

Not in the way that you might think. It was obvious that you were joking about me not proclaiming straightness (and really, why should anyone do so other than to tweak Diggoff?); but I can only go by someone's post count to judge their activity, so I just figured that you were doing likewise. I have no sense of time (literally; my parietal lobe doesn't work) so I have no idea how long I've been here, let alone you, without looking up the stats. (Now that I know you're a long-timer, it makes me even a bit more worried than normal that you omitted the verb in the sentence about what you have been seeing me doing since 2006. Remember that a lot of it wasn't my fault. For a six month stretch, Lucy took over typing for me and some stuff was mistranslated. (I posted photographic proof right here, lest you doubt me.) Although she types in English, she still thinks in Cat, and sometimes chooses the wrong equivalent word.
