We always value reports from our members, but sometimes after a Mentor discussion, we reject a report and do not do anything with the reported post.Bystander said:

It is unfortunate that the forum software automatically generates that “unfortunately” note… but it does.

Maybe change the canned message. Change "was rejected" to "has been determined to receive no action at this time."

On a more serious note...
If in doubt, it is better to report than not to report. A report that turns out to require no action is cleared with one mouse click in the moderation UI, no big deal. But if something is not reported then we may not notice it until it has festered, and then the cleanup will be a lot more work.
