AI Thread Summary
The discussion explores the concept of a Theory of Everything (T.O.E.) using the metaphor of a bag of chips, where the bag represents the entirety of knowledge and each chip symbolizes individual pieces of understanding. The author suggests that while they can describe the bag using just one chip, this approach is fundamentally flawed as it oversimplifies the complexity of knowledge. They emphasize that their extensive education does not equate to a complete understanding, highlighting the gaps in knowledge represented by the missing chips. Ultimately, the analogy illustrates that a comprehensive theory cannot be constructed from limited insights, as a single crumb cannot adequately represent the whole. This underscores the challenge of creating a T.O.E. that accurately encompasses the vastness of knowledge.

- Postulate.
180 chips per bag - 179 chips

My T.o.E. is the bag of chips.

My current ability is to describe the bag of chips with only one chip.

- Theorem.
Now my education is the sum of education. I know everything. Then you subtract the stuff I don't know. 1.) Phd math, science, english, biology, etc...
2.) Cosmology. 3.) Proteomics.

I have a lot of chips missing !

So I create a T.o.E. based on my use of 1 crumb of 1 chip. Is it correct, or functional ? Certainly not. Why ? A description of a bag of chips is not equal to one crumb of one chip.

We all have our little crumbs though.

Insights auto threads is broken atm, so I'm manually creating these for new Insight articles. Someone who shows interest in science is initially a welcome development. So are fresh ideas from unexpected quarters. In contrast, there is a scientific community that is meticulously organized down to the last detail, allowing little to no external influence. With the invention of social media and other sites on the internet competing for content, unprecedented opportunities have opened up for...
I am following someone on Youtube who has built a rocket shaped (4 proprllers) drone for the world speed record ... He was having problems with internal heat from electical control gear and battery inside the sealed rocket (about 1kw waste heat) Speed is 500km/hr , I suggested a 4mm hole in the tip of the nose and 8mm hole at rear which should alow sufficient air cooling .. I said this will increase thrust because the air exiting is hotter .. a bit similar to a ram jet ... was I correct...
