    Fit Line Mean
AI Thread Summary
The best fit line represents a statistical trend on a graph, indicating the general direction of data points. It does not connect all points directly but rather aims to minimize the distance from the line to the points, leaving some above and some below. In Excel, a trend line can be added by right-clicking a data point and selecting the appropriate option. The method of drawing the line may vary depending on the type of graph, such as linear or nonlinear. Ultimately, the best fit line serves to summarize the overall trend in the data.

best fit line?

DOes that mean you draw a line/curve connecting the dots?
Or does that mean you draw a line in between the dots leaving some above and some below?
or does that mean you connect the dots but leave out the ones that dnt fit with the shape?
please help

If you are using Excel, you would have to add a "trend line", or you can always draw it but I'm too lazy for that :P. Anyways it means to draw/put a line on a graph indicating a statistical trend. Some dots can also not be included because of it being a wrong or bad value. In Excel, just right click on 1 of the dots on the graph and click add trendline, the choose which type fits best your graph. If you need the equation, just click the option tab and select add equation on chart.

my graoh was drawn by hand
so is it a line between the pointss, or through??

Well I would say it depends on your graph. Let's say you have a linear graph, then you will need to make a straight line that connects most dots.

Thread 'Voltmeter readings for this circuit with switches'
TL;DR Summary: I would like to know the voltmeter readings on the two resistors separately in the picture in the following cases , When one of the keys is closed When both of them are opened (Knowing that the battery has negligible internal resistance) My thoughts for the first case , one of them must be 12 volt while the other is 0 The second case we'll I think both voltmeter readings should be 12 volt since they are both parallel to the battery and they involve the key within what the...
Thread 'Struggling to make relation between elastic force and height'
Hello guys this is what I tried so far. I used the UTS to calculate the force it needs when the rope tears. My idea was to make a relationship/ function that would give me the force depending on height. Yeah i couldnt find a way to solve it. I also thought about how I could use hooks law (how it was given to me in my script) with the thought of instead of having two part of a rope id have one singular rope from the middle to the top where I could find the difference in height. But the...
