Number Theory What books or materials are needed to understand primitive roots?

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on seeking additional resources to understand primitive roots for primes and their existence, with a current reference to "Elementary Number Theory and Its Applications" by Kenneth H. Rosen. Participants suggest that many introductory number theory or algebra textbooks cover these topics, encouraging the individual to explore various books to find one that aligns with their learning style. The emphasis is on the availability of multiple resources rather than the necessity of finding a specific alternative.

do you know any books, videos, or notes that can help me to understand these topics:
1-primitive roots for primes
2-the existence of primitive roots
I am using right now elementary number theory and its application by Kenneth H. Rosen to understand these topics, do you know another source that can help me?

This one is quite good. Why do you need another one? In any case most introductory number theory or algebra books would have that. Look through some to find one that has style that suits you.

The book is fascinating. If your education includes a typical math degree curriculum, with Lebesgue integration, functional analysis, etc, it teaches QFT with only a passing acquaintance of ordinary QM you would get at HS. However, I would read Lenny Susskind's book on QM first. Purchased a copy straight away, but it will not arrive until the end of December; however, Scribd has a PDF I am now studying. The first part introduces distribution theory (and other related concepts), which...
