    Hey
In summary,Multipleofc went to London and saw the Rosetta Stone and the London Eye. They regret going because they could be doing more useful things with their time. They also tangoed in a contest.

Hi Multiple!

I went to London once. Loved it. Saw the Rosetta Stone and the London Eye and took a boat all the way to Greenwich to stand on the meridian.

You've got lots of swans there.

Enjoy Physics Forums!

I can't do an avatar and stuff, and the post count is weird, but the subject is cool! :D

Hehe, I know!

Is it some research foundation thing, or they are just cheap?

You could say it's a research foundation. I wouldn't, but you could.

FAQ: What is a research foundation and why are they sometimes considered cheap?

1. What is a research foundation?

A research foundation is a non-profit organization that provides funding and support for scientific research and education. These foundations typically have a specific focus or mission, such as advancing medical research or promoting environmental conservation.

2. Why are research foundations sometimes considered cheap?

Research foundations are often considered cheap because they rely heavily on donations and grants, which may not always be sufficient to fully fund research projects. Additionally, they may have limited resources and be unable to provide the same level of funding as government agencies or private companies.

3. How are research foundations different from other funding sources?

Research foundations differ from other funding sources in that they are typically non-profit organizations with a specific focus on supporting scientific research. They may also have different criteria and processes for awarding grants and may have a more limited budget compared to other funding sources.

4. What are the benefits of receiving funding from a research foundation?

Receiving funding from a research foundation can provide several benefits, including financial support for research projects, access to resources and expertise, and opportunities for collaboration with other researchers. Additionally, funding from a research foundation may also come with less pressure to produce immediate results, allowing for more long-term and innovative research.

5. How can researchers apply for funding from a research foundation?

Researchers can typically apply for funding from a research foundation by submitting a grant proposal that outlines their research project and its potential impact. The application process may vary depending on the specific foundation, but it usually involves a thorough review of the proposal by a panel of experts before a decision is made on funding.
