What is "Linky" by Stansi Scientific Co.?

In summary, a circular object with three revolving strips, possibly representing an outdated model of an atom or a representation of the solar system or Jovian system. The center orb turns on its axis and the rings rotate in sync with it. The object bears the name "Stansi Scientific Co. Chicago 22 U.S.A." and resembles a broken link. Some speculate it to be a representation of the Enterprise D, while others suggest it is an incomplete or inaccurate representation of the Jovian system. The regularity of the rings suggests they may represent the major Jovian moons.

Anyone have any idea what this thing is? By turning a handle, the circular strips surrounding the center orb revolve around it, and the orb itself turns on its axis. There are three strips, each placed at 120 degrees to each other, but all vertical. It is old, so it could represent some out dated model. A small plack on the base says "Stansi, Stansi Scientific Co. Chicago 22 U.S.A.

Looks like an outdated model of an atom, with metal sphere representing nucleus, and magnets attached to rings representing orbiting electrons.

It looks like a bad top view of the Enterprise D, but I'm no expert. All that I can say for sure is that I hope it isn't a relative.

It's an hororary of the solar system and probably incomplete, or instead of being an hororary of the solar system it is one describing the Jovian system.

With just 3 rings? All in different planes or rotation?

The OP link appears to be broken. Another link?

All the major Jovian moons are in the same plane of orbit. The rings are too regular to be the minor moons.

Possibly, although the rings orbit in sync with the center, which is unlike any model I know of.
