What is the significance of a Quantum Top in Chaichian & Demichev's work?

I just was taking a look at the book "Introduction to Quantum Groups" by Chaichian and Demichev, where in the introduction part, I ran to the following:
it is well known, that classical limit of a quantum system on a sphere (quantum top) corresponds to infinite value of a spin but not to zero value of \hbar
What are they talking about?
I googled it but there was nothing, nothing even near it!

Thread 'Importance of Hanbury Brown and Twiss experiment'

I read Hanbury Brown and Twiss's experiment is using one beam but split into two to test their correlation. It said the traditional correlation test were using two beams........ This confused me, sorry. All the correlation tests I learnt such as Stern-Gerlash are using one beam? (Sorry if I am wrong) I was also told traditional interferometers are concerning about amplitude but Hanbury Brown and Twiss were concerning about intensity?
