Who is Greg Bernhardt?

In summary, Greg Bernhardt created and maintains the Physics Forum, which is a valuable resource for technical discussions. Many of us appreciate his work and would be sad if he ever stopped providing the forum.

Okay, here's my quickie attempt at a theme song for PF. It's sung to the theme song from MASH. I don't have a title yet.

Greg Bern-hardt was failing school.
His teacher thought he was a fool.

Then Greg invented something great.
His teacher said, "You Grad-u-ate"

chorus
that's how Physics Forums started
and us nerds are so glad hearted
cause no longer do we have to be alone.
we can socialize while never leaving home

haha this is hilarious! :-p I'll see if I can contact Bon Jovi to do it... and maybe a music video.

Sounds like several theme songs may be in the works. We could do one to the Flintstones (to complement the Jetsons?):

FOR-ums ... Physics FOR-ums,
It's the online place you want to be-e-e-e-e-e.
From that ... guy Greg Bernhardt,
Get an av-a-tar for one small fee-e-e-e-e-e.

Let's chat ... with the people that we meet
From the ... comfort of your bed or seat!

Here on ... Physics FOR-ums,
You'll have an e to the i pi time,
A fast as c time,
You'll have dilated time!

---

Anyways, thanks Greg!

 That's great too!

We should have a competition.

I just want to know how I got on Greg's friend list.

Was it because I inadvertently called his dad a bean counter?
Was it because I said this was the only forum I've visited in the last 10 years that was worthy of my financial contributions?
Was it because I tried to pay more for the "seasonal discount" because buying things on sale makes me feel poor?

I mean. Gads. I've only been here 8 months!...

Greg,

I once e-mailed Tim Berners-Lee that I felt guilty that I was having so much fun on his internet, that I should compensate him for his troubles.

He said he did not want any compensation.

I offered chocolates.

He has yet to respond.

hands Greg his crown

Thanks for the site Greg, I don't know if I would have been alright in physics without the help of people here and thus it all winds down to the person who has created PF in the first place. So THANK YOU!

Yeah, thanks Greg.

Been part of many forums over the years and it's by far the best out of all of them.

Thanks Greg for your generosity in this painstaking project. And for providing a common meeting ground, for all of us with an affinity for seeking knowledge and who enjoy mentoring others. Not only does PF provide that, but with the added bonus of fostering friendship in a global community. Well done!
