Wordle 1,195 3/6
Interesting. For the last 50 games, of the 'augmented' players, I'm in last place.sbrothy said:We all know you have to say that. You get “lucky” suspiciously often. (By which I mean you’re good at this, not insinuating you’re cheating. Just making that clear!)

Hmm. I must’ve had a very local view of the graph then.OmCheeto said:Interesting. For the last 50 games, of the 'augmented' players, I'm in last place.

Oh! I get it now. You must be talking about BAD luck.
*I included Wordlebot, as I thought people might be interested.
This is biased though. I am certainly not first as I do not post every day but play every day (my streak is at 521). I am more likely to post if I get a good result or if the solution itself has something I consider mildly interesting (today had both!), otherwise I might just not care enough to post.OmCheeto said:Interesting. I'm sorry, are you gathering my personal information - without my consent - to do data analysis about God knows what?OmCheeto said:Interesting. For the last 50 games, of the 'augmented' players, I'm in last place.

If anybody cares, here are my cumulative data since I started playing. I intend to use the same seed word in the future, so once I got a "hole in one", I don't expect another.OmCheeto said:Interesting. For the last 50 games, of the 'augmented' players, I'm in last place.

Shame on you!kuruman said:I didn't put error bars on the plot, did I?

Regarding the "weirder" words I'd expect (as I don't keep track like you do) that most of the "ordinary" words were used by now. Although, now that I write it out I can see the error in my thinking. Why would the "ordinary" words be used first?jack action said:Wordle 1,198 4/6
[CLASH] 229 left - my seed word was not too helpful this time.
[IRONE] filter - 13 left
[DAVIT] filter - 3 left: RIDER WEIRD WIDER
[RIDER] WEIRD was weird and WIDER was too blah; RIDER is the only option left for a human to choose.
I think that separating words as "weird" and "blah" is not a reliable criterion. I looked at the list of used words and I picked the first 5 that I would place in each category according to my sense of usage frequency in spoken English. Of course a thorough job would require one to go through the entire list. I am not inclined to do that at this point.sbrothy said:Regarding the "weirder" words I'd expect (as I don't keep track like you do) that most of the "ordinary" words were used by now. Yes, as I wrote I saw my fallacy as I wrote it but had too much inertia to stop. I'm not surprised there's more than one thing wrong with my "argument".kuruman said:Wordle 1,198 3/6

I was merely augmenting your argument. My subjective opinion is that @jack action's quest for finding and applying word selection criteria that are subjective to some generic "human" is, well . . . subjective.sbrothy said:Yes, as I wrote I saw my fallacy as I wrote it but had too much inertia to stop. EDIT: Oh, you weren't addressing me. Nvm.
EDIT2: Also, just for the record: There's nothing wrong with my "fallacy". Don't believe what you hear!
