It was pretty darn hard. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I solved (and these were the ones I turned in):
the one about Alice and Bob's stone game (A2); the sequence problem showing that there were 2005 terms in a row divisible by 2006...

Assuming perfect competition in neoclassical economics:
* The principle remains that any business which makes more profit than another will have an increased chance of expanding additionally by using that profit. This, in turn leads them to better chances of larger profits. So, what is to...

I don't know how to solve this task:
Participants of math competition are solving six tasks. For each task
you can get one of marks - 6,5, 3 or 0 .
It transpired that for each pair of participants we can indicate two
tasks , that in each of them participant A got different mark from...
Has anyone heard of the IBB? I think I might participate in it seriously, and if so, I'm going to need some assistance on what to study, how to go about it, and maybe even a mentor that I could talk to ;P

I think that student motivation is the most substantial stumbling block in education. Somehow a youth culture must be set up which has education and smarts in general at its center, rather than being peripheral and even uncool.
I favor student-vs-student competition at every level, with very...

100/100 x 1/99 = 1/99

Has anyone competed in or been part of an institution that participated in this competition? My school doesn't appear to have been involved in it past 2001 which is a shame because I really would like to pit myself against people from other schools or heck just challenge myself. Anyway I came...
I learned that trees and plants compete for survival just like other species. They compete for sunlight and nutrients in the soil. If you're a tree who wants to catch some rays, the goal is to grow as big and tall as possible, and make the enemy trees eat shade. But how do they compete for...
Hello,
One day I saw a botball competition, and I asked them about the robots, they said they had to built them from a starter kit that has about 100 pieces of lego and 3 motor with 4 big wheels.
I was wondering, is there any way to come up with the best design. And yet, I still don't...
Whoa, it was news to me. The robots have to be completely autonomous, and travel from LA to Las Vegas in 10 hours using only GPS guidance systems and computer brain-power (no remote control!). The prize is a million bucks, but the blueprints will become public knowledge, they say. If no...
