A multiple-unit train or simply multiple unit (MU) is a self-propelled train composed of one or more carriages joined together, which when coupled to another multiple unit can be controlled by a single driver, with multiple-unit train control.
Although multiple units consist of several carriages, single self-propelled carriages - also called railcars, rail motor coaches or railbuses - are in fact multiple-units when two or more of them are working connected through multiple-unit train control (regardless if passengers can walk between the units or not).
The term multiple unit does not denote locomotives using multiple-unit train control.

Hi There,
I'm a new member, so apologies if I've posted this in the wrong area.
I've been working through the ASME STS-1-2006 Steel Stack Standard, particularly the Vortex Shedding section.
I've come across this nasty integral which is doing my head in, and we wondering if anyone would mind...
I am doing a multiple linear regression on a dataset. It is test scores. It has three highly correlated variables being income, reading score, and math score. Obviously since the test score is the sum of the math score and reading score would it be appropriate to exclude them simply based off...
At the risk of making my inexperience in quantum mechanics plainly obvious, I have a question to ask. Say you emit a photon from one side of a room. As I've come to learn, light is not only a particle, but a wave. Say there are two photomultipliers, both encompassed within the wave of light...

Throughout my limited physics career (high school, first year university) I was introduced to concepts such as potential energy, kinetic energy, and work. Naturally, I was taught about potential energy using the whole gravity analogy. A brick at height h has more potential energy than a brick...
Below is a test problem I recently had in Probability class. I missed points on this problem (event B) because I counted 0 as a multiple of 3. But...0 is a multiple of 3 right?

So every theoretical resource I've been able to find seems to map bands to lines for a 1D crystal, surfaces for a 2D crystal, and hypersurfaces for a 3D crystal. But then there are images like the ARPES data below (fig. 1a, 1b, 2) where the density of states is a lot higher within the valence...
Hello
Right now I'm going through Feynmans lectures and sometimes the equations really get tons of substitutions so you must look back at where something fits a lot.

please point out the flaws/add to my reasoning here:
