A case study involves an up-close, in-depth, and detailed examination of a particular case or cases, within a real-world context. For example, case studies in medicine may focus on an individual patient or ailment; case studies in business might cover a particular firm's strategy or a broader market; similarly, case studies in politics can range from a narrow happening over time (e.g., a specific political campaign) to an enormous undertaking (e.g., a World War).
Generally, a case study can highlight nearly any individual, group, organization, event, belief system, or action. A case study does not necessarily have to be one observation (N=1), but may include many observations (one or multiple individuals and entities across multiple time periods, all within the same case study). Research projects involving numerous cases are frequently called cross-case research, whereas a study of a single case is called within-case research.Case study research has been extensively practiced in both the social and natural sciences.
Just checking if anyone wanted to get an online study group going over the summer! I'm flexible as to what to study, but I am definitely going to work through both books of Kiselev's geometry (I've just started and am on chapter 2). If I finish those, then I may want to move on to Moise...
I'm a new undergrad. I have been obsessed with learning for a long time but it has had no direction. It's all about the rush for me. However, I've decided that I need to take my studying more seriously and systematically to genuinely add anything new to pile of human knowledge.
The problem is...
Hello Aero Forum!
I need to take the general GRE and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to which guide is best? I want to get as close to a 170 on the quant (don't we all!) as possible, so I was wondering where I can find questions closest to the actual exam. So far I have the...

I'd like to try to pick up Python over the summer, while I have the free time. I do have some programming experience, and I've heard it's not too difficult to pick up. I've found some things here and there, but if anybody has any strong recommendations of a particular resource (pdf document...
Could someone suggest me an easy guide to transforming a system of differential equations into normal form around a particular point?
As I understand, normal forms are used in border collision bifurcations to define the new set of coordinates around the parameter value \mu _0. By doing this...
I want to learn algebra 2 and trigonometry and was going to try to learn algebra 2 first then learn trigonometry after that. However after thinking I thought it would be more engaging to learn both at the same time. So my question is, should I learn algebra 2 first, then trigonometry, or...
I'm working on a project in the field of DNA origami and need links to research papers and study content for the trapping processes and folding processes. Can anyone help?
I recently took a calculus readiness given by a special program for high school students in my area called the math and physics institute (MPI) to see which math and physics classes I would be taking my senior year. I scored well enough to be placed in the most difficult section of the program...
I want to learn some basics of Computational Fluid Dynamics. But most of the books that I found dealt mostly with the theory of it with very less examples or problems to be solved numerically. I know Matlab and am pretty good at coding too.So, I am searching for a book from which I can learn CFD...
For example, how far should one go in real analysis or functional analysis to learn the necessary mathematical formalism in Quantum Mechanics? I have some grounding in differential equations, algebra, complex analysis, and rudiments of real analysis included in a classical analysis course. Would...

Centrum multivitamin has been running a series of commercials that run something like this:
Sooo... Why don't you tell us what the study found? Was there a benefit?
This is a long one, but here's the short and sweet version:
I'm an exceptionally good and enthusiastic physics student in high school and despite being friendly, welcoming, understanding and helpful toward my classmates, I feel like I intimidate them with my intellectual capacity for physics...
Greetings Physicists,
I've been accepted to study at my state University for my Ph.D in Physics.
I reticent to accept however for two reasons;
1. They are not offering me a TA'ship immediately. This means I would have to finance at least my first year with student loans and work study...
I'm about to finish my high school and since I'm really interested in stuffs like mathematics, physics and computing I want get into electronics or computer engineering.

Hello!
I, like many others, am interested in studying physics on my own as my school doesn't offer any kind of physics for ninth graders. (The tenth grade physics class isn't very in depth either; I took part of it in 8th grade). I have exhausted what Khan Academy has to offer, and I am...

So far I've covered:
Maths:
Intro to proofs (short sections on sets, functions...
I seem to be at a stalemate.
I have an interest in the workings of all things, I enjoy getting my hands dirty and getting hands-on with my job. I enjoy tinkering and designing (using the word lightly) things for fun, also an interest in circuits and the works.
I am trying to figure out...
I'm planning on doing a BSc in applied physics next year, but my real passion has always been history and archeology. The reason I chose for applied physics and not history or archeology is because the odds of getting a good job after the study is much greater.
Now I was wondering, what are...
Homework Statement
I've never had an exam before in this format. It's 50-min long for Quantum I. It will be mostly short answer with small computations. It's supposed to test our conceptual understanding.
I've been reviewing my notes, making sure I harp on the central ideas of quantum...
Amount of Set Theory "Required" to Study Logic
